How do they work?

Glo Cubes use a patented and safe ion detection circuit to illuminate. Basically, when placed in a liquid, the liquid acts as a switch and allows the light to come on.

How do you replace the batteries? What kind of batteries do they take?

The batteries are sealed for safety and cannot be replaced. Most cubes have a battery life of 8 hrs. Once the cube no longer lights it will need to be disposed of or recycled.
