About the Designer

Angelo Pinaffo was born in 1966 in the city of Padua in Italy. He graduated in Applied Arts with a specialization in Architecture and Furniture. He worked in several projects as an architect including museums restorations. By mid 90’s he decided to focus in industrial design, especially in seating systems. Several of his mechanical solutions were patented giving him worldwide prestige. Angelo Pinaffo won one of the most important industrial design awards in Italy, the “Compasso d’Oro” and also the Silver award in the NeoCon World’s Trade Fair in Chicago. His work is characterized by his efforts to simplify the design but still care about the details and aesthetic originality. In his opinion the right balance between form and function creates the perfect chair.
