Golden Gate Furniture
Since it opened to traffic in May of 1937, the world has had a love affair with San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge. Built during the Depression, this manmade monument symbolized the strength and determination of the human spirit. After 56 years however, exposure to the elements began to deteriorate the pedestrian handrail, and it was replaced in 1993. This original handrail was acquired by Golden Gate Furniture Co., who has given it new life in the form of unique, collector’s edition furniture and accessories that capture the historical spirit and style of this iconic landmark.
