Hamama was founded by two MIT mechanical engineers, Camille and Dan. After spending a few years in indoor agriculture research at the MIT Media Lab, they got to thinking, “What if people had a system to grow healthy food for themselves at home?" Realizing that not everyone has the space, time, weather, or know-how to grow food themselves, Camille and Dan decided to create an low maintenance, reusable kit that would make it easy for anyone to grow nutritious greens at home. Today, their community of home growers and healthy eaters now spans all 50 states, with thousands of folks growing nutritious microgreens year-round as a part of a healthy lifestyle routine.
