Keith Haring // Pop Shop II (B) // 1988
Product Description
Keith Haring (1958-1990) was an American artist who studied at the Ivy School of Professional Art in Pittsburgh and at the School of Visual Art in New York. Best known for his graffiti and Pop art, Haring was also a prominent figure in the AIDS awareness movement, and a social activist whose work reacted to the New York City street scene of the 1980s.
His pieces addressed and expressed concepts of birth and death, as well as war and sexuality. It was often heavily political and his imagery has become a widely-recognized visual language of the 20th century.
