Ever since the young age of three, Manasseh Johnson has had a pencil in his hand. He was born and raised in New Jersey, but currently resides and works out of his home studio in San Antonio, Texas where he makes remarkable mixed-media pieces. Johnson's work has been commissioned by clients from all across the globe, including Kevin Hart, Lena Waithe, and The Criterion Collection. His goal as an artist is to create art that embraces Black culture and inspires up and coming artists.

This collection of stylized colored pencil portraits presents a slightly surreal look at legendary Black artists, cultural icons, and political figures who have left a lasting impact on history and pop culture, as well as afrocentric pieces that celebrate Black love, lives, and culture. With vivid color palettes and lush settings, each piece brings a vibrant, joyful aesthetic to any home decor.
