The Santuko 8" Chef Knife + Paring Knife Set is handcrafted in Stainless VG10 Damascus Steel, and made to the caliber used by professional chefs. Unlike standard Damascus steel, that is made with high-carbon steel, this version is specially formulated with stainless steel and a hollow grind edge to be denser, and far more rust-resistant. The handles are fitted with Spanish high-density micarta, and the bolster is integrated into the billet, by rolling and building up the hilt area. Over time, as the edge wears, it is recommended to use ceramic stones with appropriate lubricants to sharpen the blade.
