The 8" Chef + Utility Knife Set is handcrafted in Stainless VG10 Damascus Steel, and made to the caliber used by professional chefs. Unlike standard Damascus steel, that is made with high-carbon steel, this version is specially formulated with stainless steel and a hollow grind edge to be denser, and far more rust-resistant. The handles are also fitted with Spanish high-density micarta. Over time, as the edge wears, it is recommended to use ceramic stones with appropriate lubricants to sharpen the blade.

Please be aware Damascus steel products will arrive fully coated in a protective, non-toxic mineral oil, which can be easily washed off before use. The blade should be regularly oiled with any household oil over the course of its life to prevent corrosion.
