The HORL rolling knife sharpener ensures the perfect cut with every knife. The grinding side of the roller has a D35 diamond coating, which is harder than any knife steel and durable for long-lasting use. The opposite side of the roller is made of grooved stainless steel for removing excess residue and professional-grade smoothing.

HORL's magnetic grinding gauge is the secret to the perfect grinding angle. With the magnetic grinding gauge, every knife you sharpen is automatically held in the exact grinding angle of 15°. This means less material removal as well as faster results. The 15° grinding angle is the ideal blend of stability and sharpness. This entire set functions for all knife sizes from the small paring knife to a large cleaver.

Is this unsafe?

The HORL Sharpener rolls on the table while the knife is kept very stable, with the perfect angle, thanks to the strong neodymium magnets. You can safely grind your blade and be sure to have a 100% precise angle for a professional sharpness.

Can it be used to sharpen Damascus steal knifes?

Damascus steel knives are normally made of high carbon steel. Especially the core. Most of them have 60-63 HRC (hardness rockwell)
The diamond coated sharpening side is harder than every knife steel. That's why you can easily sharpen even damascus knives with the HORL Sharpener.

High carbon steel knives need a special more sensitive treatment. Because of the consistent sharpening angle, you always sharpen at the right spot to only take the material of where it's really needed. That's why the HORL Sharpener is also the right choice even for very expensive knives.

Can you use it to hone a straight razor?

The HORL sharpener has been developed to hone kitchen knives only. We would not recommend you to sharpen any other tool with this product.
