The Hero Series was envisioned with one idea in mind, to make great wine. This four-bottle collection includes a sampling of all the Iconic Wines' iconic varietals.

The 2013 Heroine Chardonnay is a wine dedicated to the pure expression of Chardonnay and the characteristic of wine often described as feminine. These wines are typically acid driven with high tone aromatics. This wine is elegant, focused and complex, but still is unapologetic in its power — thus the perfect heroine. For Heroine 2013, the backbone is the steely focused fruit of Michael Mara Vineyard in the Petaluma Gap. All clone 4 Chardonnay, this vineyard set on cobble, gravel and alluvial soil of volcanic origin produces not only high acid but strong minerality in the wines. This is balanced by a selection of fruit across Russian River Valley that would yield a richer Chardonnay. To balance the weight the wine is fermented in steel and cement.

The 2015 Secret Identity Rosé takes inspiration from the ramato wines of North-Eastern Italy, making skin macerated trousseau gris, instead of the typical pinot grigio used in ramato. Light, aromatic, fresh, and readily drinkable. This wine is the yin to Secret Ingredient's Yang. Equally at home next to tuna tartar, raw oysters or on its own out of a mug on your back porch.

The third wine, 2014 SK Cabernet Sauvignon, represents the finest wine we could create at everyday drinking value. Iconic Wines works with multiple vineyard sources from around northern California, as far north as Anderson Valley to as far south as Lodi. This allows them every year to assure they pull the best fruit for the price depending on the vintage, creating a trustworthy wine and perfect companion to your day to day adventures. SK Cabernet 2014 is fermented in several stainless steel vertical fermenters. Maceration is 14 to 20 days with once a day pump over. An additional portion is produced in a rotofermentor, with the wine turned three times daily until fully dry. A small portion is then introduced to new French oak and aged for a minimum of six months. Final blending is done a few weeks before bottling. Great care is taken to not over extract the grapes that would result in pushing the wine into a jam or green vegetable character. SK Cabernet Sauvignon is made to focus on rich body, while still maintaining bright red fruit flavors.

Last but not least, the 2014 SK Chardonnay represents the finest wine that Iconic Wines could create at everyday drinking value. Iconic Wineswas founded on a love of Chardonnay. It was the very first wine they ever made, and they are very picky when it comes to this great grape. Like their flagship Chardonnay, Heroine, the focus of this wine is fresh bright fruit and minerality. The grapes are slowly pressed over a long gentle pressing before fermented in vertical, temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is apricot and white peach and full of floral aromatics.
