Insect Lab, founded in 1999, presents unique works of art in a league of it’s own, seemingly ripped from the pages of a retro sci-fi tale. Handmade to order by artist Mike Libby, each piece features a perfectly preserved, ethically sourced insect, fully customized with antique watch parts, gears, dials, springs, and other mechanical components for a unique blend of art, biology, and technology that will inspire your imagination. Each is housed in an elegant glass dome or mounted in archival shadow boxes, for a completely unique work of art offering a vintage, naturalist touch to any space.
