The app for the device has not been calibrated to iPad, thus we did not suggest using it with iPads.

Yes, the package comes with a MagHolder which provides a connector via Lightning Port.

The recommend indoor maximum measuring distance is about 3m (10ft) range, accommodating to phone camera's visual range with the laser dot.
