That would depend on the use on the golf course. As a point to point range finder, the device can be used for up to 40M distance. For the 3D dimension measure using a phone camera, the advised range is 3~5M indoor space. How well does this work inside a building?
The iPin Spatial Ruler Pro device is designed to use indoor and can measure up to 40m for point-to-point measurement, and typically 3~5m for 3-axis measurement using phone camera.Could this be use to measure ones yard?
It's possible and it's suggested to use it in the evening time since outdoor daylight may be too bright to see the laser point. The point to point (range measure) measurable length is about 30m, and 3-axis measure is within 5m (working with a phone camera).
