The Shred pad is a handmade custom-knit piece of felt throw made with some of the finest quality yarns. Cats respond to the luxuriousness immediately and love the texture and softness of the natural fibers. This soft and silky blanket may be used alone, or to accent a variety of Kittypod designs. Shred is also to be used as a protective layer for your sofa or chair, or as an extra cozy layer when paired with your cats favorite Kittypod design. Each piece is slightly unique as each is individually handmade and felted.

About the Designer

Elizabeth Paige Smith

Elizabeth founded Kittypod in 1998. Over the years, before and after Kittypod, Elizabeth has used a vast range of media to express her ideas. From design to sculpture; photography to film, light and environment are key aspects to the atmosphere, form and function of her pieces. Her extensive body of work has been featured in various exhibitions and museums: the LACMA, the MOCA, the Smithsonian Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum, San Jose Museum of Contemporary Art and Pasadena Museum of Contemporary Art. Her work has also been featured in the New York Times, LA Times, throughout the US, Europe, and Asia in all kinds of leading cultural magazines.
