About the Designer
When prototyping the first Koostik product, designer Jim Simon worked with various materials (including styrofoam!) to come up with the perfect way to amplify the volume of the iPhone's external speaker. After he began working with wood, he reached a balance between aesthetic desirability and extreme functionality. He came to the design the company now calls "The Original," and Koostik, the company, was born. All of Koostik's woods are sourced from suppliers who practice careful management for sustainability, and the natural beauty of the wood speaks for the high quality of the product.
