The Bunka Santoku is the more traditional equivalent of the Santoku: a versatile knife ideal for chopping vegetables and fruits, slicing through meats, and preparing fish (everything except bones and frozen foods). Just like the common Santoku, the Bunka Santoku has a tall and flat blade profile; however, their blade tips are shaped very differently. Bunka knives are recognizable from their “reverse Tanto” profile, also called “K-tip,” which makes them more precise than a classic rounded blade.

The Bunka Paring knife is the most-used knife in a kitchen, right after the chef knife or Gyuto. While almost everything on the cutting board can be done with the chef knife, all precise, off-the-board cutting tasks are performed with the paring knife.

The Kotai Bamboo Cutting Board is an essential tool in your kitchen to protect your countertop and the edge of your knives. Made of natural bamboo sustainably grown in Fujian, China, this board is thick and pre-dried bamboo to prevent cracking, warping, or it getting wobbly. It's also naturally antibacterial and anti-fungal. One side features a juice reservoir and pouring groove, while the other side remains completely flat for easy scooping of minced herbs and dry foods. Hidden handles provide an easy grasp while keeping minimalist aesthetics.
