Shinobu Distillery is located in the beautiful Niigata prefecture of Japan. In the distillery lives a passionate whisky lover and an experienced brewer, Mr. Ken Usami. An innovator at heart, he utilizes rare Mizunara oak and the pure, natural, local water source to create spirits that showcase the unique flavors of Japan.

If Niigata is famed for the Three White Treasures—snow, rice and sake—local distillery Shinobu’s vintage expressions are the true mahogany treasures. A sensational sequel to Shinobu’s 10 year, this 15-Year Pure Malt Whisky spends a full 15 years aging and imparting the profound flavors of bourbon barrels, sherry, and of course Japan’s prized and precious Mizunara Oak. Magnificent and multi-dimensional, this award-winning selection boasts deep wood aromas sweetened with nectar and fruit notes. A decade and a half in the barrel brings a complex aftertaste of sweet malt and awakening spice. Emergent flavors of lemon peel, cinnamon, and ginger make this one of Master Blender Ken Usami’s most unique and notable creations.
