Product Description

La Adelita is a partnership of generational distillers, jimadors, and cult wine artisans in Mexico crafting a truly exquisite and pure selection of tequila. Named in honor of the fearless women who fought in the Mexican Revolution, La Adelita is harvested and distilled on single estate plantations located in the heart of Los Altos.

The history of La Adelita began in 1885, when Don Antonio Faustino de Aceves y Casillas built Hacienda La Capilla and dedicated his life to the cultivation of agave. Don Antonio Aceves, better known as “El Amo," was the founder of Capilla de Guadalupe—a town that rests under the shade of the Cerro Gordo in the heart of Los Altos de Jalisco. At 7290 feet above sea level, the moderate climate and volcanic ground provides excellent conditions for growing agave. Don Antonio's descendants formally started the company Hacienda la Capilla S.A. de C.V. in 1993. Since those days, agave has been its core business.

Family-operated for generations, the jimadores take great personal pride in producing only the highest quality agave. They hand-select each piña only when the time is right. Each individual lot is then carefully distilled inside the same Cuban copper pot stills imported onto the Estate in the early 1920s. The result is a uniquely pure and traditional tequila without compromise.
