Lara Kazis was founded by Swiss fashion designer Larissa Ziegler, in 2009. The Lara Kazis handbag collection was originally an inspired design project, creating these leather goods for fun, and ultimately turned into a major success all around the world.

Inspiration for the bags originally came from the shape of a diamond. "I figured out a way to emboss the leather three dimensionally, without having to apply any additive to the leather—creating an interesting forms from the material itself."
