The Open Special Edition from Loch Lomond distillery was created in partnership with Colin Montgomerie, Scottish Professional Golfer and Loch Lomond Whiskies ambassador. For this special edition, they selected a combination of spirits from both unique straight neck and more traditional pot stills to deliver an approachable single malt of exceptional quality. As with all Loch Lomond Single Malts, the underlying fruit character shines with a gentle hint of smoke on the finish. The spirit was matured in three types of American oak casks, managed by Loch Lomond's onsite cooperage. Michael Henry—Loch Lomond's Master Blender—then marries the casks together before a partial finish in Virgin American oak. Non-chill filtered just as nature intended, and bottled at 46% ABV, this Scotch delivers a rich mouthfeel and a deep and complex flavor.

Tasting Notes
— Nose: Caramel and toffee, poached pear, red apple with fresh vanilla.
— Palate: Chewy Toffee with green apple, apricot jam and lemon citrus.
— Finish: Toasted oak, a gentle smokiness then warming oak spice of cinnamon and clove.
