Unlike most other metals, however, its oxides are particularly striking. By carefully heating the virgin metal at a precise speed and temperature, just about any color can be achieved. You can even get iridescent effects like this specimen. If looked at dead-on, it is an intense indigo blue, but from an angle, it turns a shade of pink.
