Maxx Olympic Flat Bench + Rack
The MAXX Olympic Flat Bench + Rack is full-size utility free weight bench, complete with an attached rack. It's the first-ever free weight bench with a built-in gravity release, which allows you to complete the most important final repetitions, and press your limits without ever putting yourself at risk.
It works with via patent-pending safety technology: a foot lever that automatically lowers the bench when kicked. This means that you can complete full reps without ever lifting the weight bar completely free of the rack, and instantly lower yourself out of harm's way if at any point you're unable to lift the barbell off your chest.
Your gym time is too valuable to spend it resetting the equipment to that perfect height. When you are finished, the bench automatically returns to the starting height. No more pins to adjust positioning. If you do need to make adjustments, make them on the bench. Stay on the equipment, use the foot pedal and let the hydraulics do the work to get the perfect position.

About the Designer
Jim Lennox, VP for Product Design and Development at Maxx, is an inventor, artist, designer, and engineer. The work Jim creates comes from a constant stream of ideas and concepts, wherein any idea is
fair game for exploration by working outside the box to solve novel problems in a creative way. The concept for the Maxx Bench originated from the same problem solving mindset. After a friend was left bruised and injured from a bench press injury, Jim was inspired to design a
gravity release weight bench while using a car floor jack. A simple, yet elegant solution to a life-long industry problem, the Maxx Bench evolved as the fitness industry's first-ever gravity release weight bench.
Jim was formally trained as a metal sculptor, and his background includes serving in the United States Air Force, working in higher education for science and engineering universities. He currently lives with his wife Hilary on their 100 acre farm and design studio in northeastern Pennsylvania.
