Heart Strings Copper
Product Description
Heart Strings by Nicholas Yust is a spectacularly emotional statement piece - the head-turning focal point of any contemporary space bold enough to display it. Like ‘The Fire Within’ Nicholas came up with the ‘Heart Strings’ concept after some uniquely torn paper on a contrasting background caught his eye. He took that simple inspiration and turned it into an explosive, eye-catching masterpiece.
It is a dual-layered structure, with a ground and torched copper sheet behind a plasma-cut aluminum panel. The front panel is a decoratively ground aluminum panel with angled streaks invoking motion and activity, with the accuracy and consistency that is a staple of Nicholas' work. Both the grind pattern and the material is contrasted beautifully with a torch colored back panel, which features a vertical wavy grind that seems to be pulling at the ends. The copper is creatively exposed in a gaping hole that Nicholas cut out with his plasma cutter. The dual layering technique gives this metal wall sculpture visual depth and natural shadowing.
This piece is available as both a 100% hand-crafted original and a high-definition print, which uses thick acrylic inks and a UV-resistant clear coat on metal.

About the Designer
Nicholas Yust first explored his passion for art after completing high school, enrolling in fine art and art history at the University of Cincinnati School of Design. After developing his first few wall sculptures from aluminum panels, he began to design free standing sculptures and developed over a dozen unique grind patterns which have become signature characteristics of his work. To add color to his pieces, he experimented with transparent coating to allow his unique grind patterns to be seen through a spectrum of colors. This evolved into the invention of an atomized acrylic painting process for metal, and he remains the only metal artist in the industry with this capability.
Nicholas Yust has had much success selling his artwork in local, national and international galleries. He has also displayed and sold his work at several art shows and expos, Starbucks, a multitude of online virtual galleries as well as his own personal gallery.
