Modus Operandi Cellars is a quintessentially boutique wine producer that creates a small collection of rare vintages, that are characterized by thoughtful, detailed winemaking processes, and unmistakably superior quality.

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is blended from the Rocca-Collinetta Vineyard in Coombsville, Hossfeldt Vineyard in the Atlas Peak AVA, and the Spring Mountain Vineyard on Spring Mountain. With time, the wine shows sweet clove, spice and cedar woodiness; later, smoke, cigar box and a thin layer of coconut come forward. The tannins are fine and unobtrusive; the palate is expressive and the finish is long. Silky and sexy are the best words to describe this exotic wine. Drink now through 2022.

The 2014 Vicarious Red Blend is an exotic, unique, and profound wine that pushes the envelope on ripeness. It boasts intense, concentrated red plum rimmed with black pepper that leaps from the glass, set off by menthol, cedar, and hints of vanilla. The plum theme carries on to the palate which, after the burst of intensity, acquires a soft, plush texture and continues to evolve in the mouth. This is a crowd pleaser with enough complexity to fascinate the connoisseur. Drink now through 2022.
