Montegrappa & ST Dupont

Bold Fountain Pens + Audacious Lighters

Simon Tissot Dupont, founder of iconic French luxury house S.T. Dupont, was just 25 when he decided to move to Paris. Simon was determined to make a name for himself and established a prestigious leather goods workshop. He manufactured wallets and "maroquins", the attaché-cases of the time, with the initials of senior civil servants. He became quite popular with Parisian high society and eventually became the official supplier to the Magasins du Louvre. Today, S.T. Dupont continues to create luxurious accessories for the royal-at-heart.

Since 1912, Montegrappa has been manufacturing writing implements in the same historic building on the bank of the River Brenta. The river winds through one of the most picturesque areas in the prosperous North-Eastern part of Italy, through the historic town of Bassano del Grappa. Its Italian heritage is an important component of the company’s persona: that it is the first Italian pen manufacturer. “Italian-ness” is at the heart of Montegrappa tradition. It guides the company’s philosophy.
