This shirasaya style tanto is a work of art and perfect for the minimalist style collector. A unique feature of this sword is the integrated Bo-Hi on the blade. Bo-Hi is commonly known as blood grooves, but that is a misconception. The purpose of the Bo-Hi is to help reduce the weight of the katana, which enables the user to wield the katana more smoothly, and puts less stress on the hands—perfect for advance cutting techniques that require the katana to change direction rapidly.
