From the Musha Collection comes this intricately hand forged Shirasaya, which is a minimalist’s dream. The full tang 1045 high carbon steel blade makes this a resilient katana that is razor sharp right out of the box.

Traditionally, Shirasayas were used to store the Samurai's blade when not in use. It has a clean wood handle, no wraps, no accessories, and a simple matching wood saya.

A unique feature is the integrated Bo-Hi on the blade. The purpose of the Bo-Hi is to help reduce the weight of the katana, which enables the user to wield the katana better and puts less stress on the hands.

All Musha swords can be fully disassembled. The Tsuba, Fuchi, and Kashira all can be swapped out for a different sets.

Does this sword have "made in china" stamped or otherwise permanently marked on the blade or handle?

No, it is marked on the Seppa. You can reverse the Seppa if you do not wish it to show China.

Does this Shirasaya come with a sword bag or gift box?

It does come in a cotton sword bag but, not a gift box. It comes in a full-color cardboard box.
