Product Description

From the Musha Collection comes this intricately hand forged Geijutsuka Katana. Featuring a full tang 1045 high carbon steel blade, this resilient katana is sharp right out of the box.

A unique feature of this sword is the integrated Bo-Hi on the blade. Bo-Hi is commonly known as blood grooves, but that is a misconception. The purpose of the Bo-Hi is to help reduce the weight of the katana, which enables the user to wield the katana more smoothly, and puts less stress on the hands— perfect for advance cutting techniques that require the katana to change direction rapidly.

All Musha swords are able to be fully disassembled. The Mokko Gata style Tusba, Fuchi, Kashira all can be swapped out for a different set. The real wood handle is wrapped with traditional cotton.

We always recommend none sharpen iaido katana for practicing blade to blade as accidents can happen and improper use can lead to serious injuries or death. If both steels are of the same material, such as 1045 vs 1045, they will last longer, as the two properties are the same. But if you are using a 1045 vs a 1090 steel katana, the 1095 will last longer because of its harder properties.

Why is this sword more expensive than the others?

The difference is in the forging of the steel. While the other series are forged with 1045 high carbon steel. The Kujaku katana is mixed with several different 1045 high carbon steels to give it a Damascus effect on the blade.
