Product Description

Conch Shell Recipient and Container for Holy Water used in Ceremonies. Known as “Buddha ears”, they were mounted as a sound instrument. All conch shell trumpets, in the Tibetan-Buddhist tradition, are referred to as dung dkar. Such shells are important ritual objects in Tibetan Buddhism. They are used as ceremonial trumpets in prayer rituals, to summon monks to prayer, to summon spirits as well, and to invoke rain and water.
