Michter’s 25 Year Limited Release Kentucky Straight Bourbon is as fine as any bourbon ever released throughout Michter’s storied history. This exceptionally flavorful bourbon was distilled from a select mashbill, then matured to perfection for over a quarter of a century in specially chosen, new charred American white oak barrels. Michter’s continues to strive to make the best bourbon possible regardless of production cost, and hopes you enjoy this limited release as a fine emblem of their commitment to excellence.

Originally known as Shenk's, the distillery was established in Schaefferstown, Pennsylvania in 1753 where they made whiskey from the favorite local rye from the Pennsylvania Blue Mountain Valley. According to local historical lore, this particular rye whiskey was so valued that General George Washington purchased it to fortify his men through the long, brutal winter at Valley Forge. Over 200 years later, Michter's still calls itself "the whiskey that warmed the American Revolution."

Tasting Notes: This is a complex whiskey with great mouthfeel. A symphony of flavors plays at different points on the palate with molasses, holiday spice, chocolate, smoke roasted nuts, dried fruit, melted butter, and vanilla providing the highlights.
