The clasp is an adjustable hook clasp. One side of the clasp will hook into the other, and then the covering snaps into place. It also has an added safely closure that snaps down.

Why does the description say that the case material is stainless steel?

It's is 316L Surgical Grade Stainless steel. The Rose gold color is Ion-plated over the stainless steel.
