Opthimus Rum
25 Year Maestro Rums
Over 20 years ago, the maestros roneros at Oliver y Oliver set out to make a new class of rum with the best available distillates in the Caribbean. Opthimus rums are distinguished by their quality, aromas, and flavors; and are amongst the most highly awarded in the world. They age and blend the different distillates, then place them to mature in Tempranillo and Bourbon barrels under the traditional solera method (solera jerezana). When it's finally ready to be bottled, each is placed for special finish over six months in barrels previously used to age Malt Whisky, Sherry, or Port, and then bottled as part of the Opthimus Rum 25 Year Old Collection.
