Vincent Arroyo’s winemaking style is the embodiment of his philosophy about his land. Take what you have, and do the best you can with it. Each wine at his Otra Vez Winery is handcrafted, starting from before the grapes are harvested. Vince decides how the grapes from each vineyard will be vinified, when they will be picked, how they will be crushed, what fermentation regimes they will undergo, and what percentage of French or American and new or old barrels will maximize the flavor during the barrel-aging process.

Otra Vez grapes come from the hills of Rattlesnake Acres Vineyard and the valley floor of Colin's Vineyard, both nestled in Napa Valley's newest appellation: Calistoga. There, daytime summer temperatures can soar to 100 and then plummet to a low 50 at night - the perfect combination for grape growing. And from these grapes comes a lush, meaty Cabernet Sauvignon with good acidity and distinctive blackberry flavors, with a touch of cocoa.

This is the 2014 Otra Vez Estate Bottled Cabernet Sauvignon - a bottle so good, it's poured at Michelin Star restaurants. With the first taste, you know this is just an incredible wine - deeply colored, with aromas of blackberry, a hint of coffee, soft tannins, and a dark plum finish with a nice texture. You'll want to linger over this glass, pick apart the individual flavors. This wine was aged 2 years in French oak barrels, and only 648 cases were produced.

All of the grapes are estate grown in Calistoga at the northern end of the Napa Valley. The vineyards are dry farmed with no irrigation, giving lower yields with more mature and intense flavors, and harvested at a brix of 24.5.
