About the Designer

PANATEA is a New York City based health and lifestyle-driven matcha green tea company. Founders and matcha experts, David Mandelbaum and Jessica Lloyd, developed the idea of PANATEA out of necessity. They were looking for a coffee alternative and it was clear that there was a gap in the market for a quality matcha green tea product with a relatable brand. After traveling throughout Japan with their tea master to find the most exquisite matcha, they launched PANATEA in 2014. The brand is pioneering a full-fledged matcha movement, committed to bringing matcha and a touch of Zen to today’s generation of tea drinkers.
