Product Description

Make a finely detailed 3D architectural paper scale model of the iconic Ancient Roman landmark with an artistic twist. The Roman Colosseum or Coliseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheater, is an elliptical amphitheater in the center of Rome, Italy. Built of concrete and stone, it was the largest amphitheater of the Roman Empire, and is considered one of the greatest works of Roman architecture and engineering. The Colosseum could hold between 50,000 and 80,000 spectators and was used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles such as mock sea battles, animal hunts, executions, reenactments of famous battles, and dramas based on Classical mythology.

This DIY scale model kit contains 18 A4 size paper sheets with the artwork, cutting, and scoring lines printed on. This model is designed so that you will build four separate quarters and then join them into one structure. Simply cut, fold, and glue the pieces together according to the instructions to create your masterpiece. With 386 parts, this piece will be a delight for more experienced modelers.

Things that are NOT included, but you'll need: a hobby knife, a ruler, a cutting mat, white glue (PVA). A pointed stylus, tweezers, and scissors may also come in handy.
