Peter Dering & Art Viger

Peak Design's lead designers, Peter Dering and Art Viger approach design in totally different ways, but in the end the products are better off for it. Peter Dering is an entrepreneurial engineer and founder of Peak Design. His approach is all about big concepts, pushing convention and delivering unique user experiences. Art Viger, has a background and education deeply rooted in fine art, commercial design and creative thinking. Viger's approach focuses on beauty, identity and creating highly refined products. This team has proven they have a winning formula again and again by releasing surprising products that have been wildly successful. The inspiration for their flagship product, the Capture Camera Clip, came from founder Peter Dering's own travels around the world with his camera and the frustrations that it brought. The problems that traditional neck straps create are many, and hundreds of products over the years have tried to solve them, but the original Capture Camera Clip that he released via Kickstarter in 2010 seems to be the winning combination. The photography community was quick to adopt it and Peak Design soon became recognized as one of the industry's most innovative young companies.
