Philmore
Square Fossil Dish
Product Description
Ammonites were creatures that lived in the prehistoric seas between 240 and 65 million years ago. Related to the modern octopus, they were squid-like cephalopods with eyes, tentacles, and spiral shells. They are so-named for these shells, because they resemble a ram's horn- a distinguishing characteristic of the Egyptian God "Amun".
Orthoclase is a silicate mineral, that is still found today. It can be used to make gemstones and even glass, and it's been around millions and millions of years.
