About the Designer
One of the most-recognized figures in art, Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, poet, and playwright. His early success through his Blue Period (1901-1904) and Rose Period (1904-1906) led to the founding of the Cubist movement— one that declared artwork need not represent reality to have artistic value.
