Campo del Cielo Meteorite from // Transparent Acrylic Display
Product Description
The Campo del Cielo refers to a group of iron meteorites in Argentina. Estimated to be approximately 4,000–5,000 years old, the crater field covers an area over 23 square miles and contains at least 26 craters. The total weight of the pieces recovered exceeds 110 tons— making Campo del Cielo the heaviest meteorite ever recovered on Earth.
This Campo del Cielo Meteorite specimen is featured in an acrylic display with a magnet that makes it look as though it's floating completely weightless— the same way it did in outer space before its final visit to Earth.
