Mezcal Pluma Negra is made in the town of San Juan del Rio, which is in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico. It is made with wild agaves rich in the organic flavors of their land, and is produced by hand by Maestro Mezcalero who uses the same process as his ancestors. Their goal is "to be a worthy ambassador of Mezcal, for those who deserve to feel the culture of Oaxaca in all its splendor."

Pluma Negra Tepextate is made with wild agave Tepextate that takes 25-35 years to reach maturity. The agave Tepextate in this mezcal is harvested from roughly 1600 meters above sea level. This mezcal has aromatic tones of fresh herbs, newly cut grass, and a slight touch of eucalyptus. Its tastes of fresh herbs and slight minerality.

Tepextate is a wild maguey that grows in rocky, limestone-rich soil around 5000 feet elevation. Notes of fresh herbs and newly cut grass with a hint of eucalyptus; warm and soft on the palate, with bright herbal notes. The long and distinctive finish increases in complexity over time.
