Pro-Ject Elemental Manual Turntable
Pro-Ject has decided to go after the plastic turntable market with an high-quality alternative. The new Pro-Ject Elemental Manual Turntable is a truly "plug'n'play" all the way. The secret to this table's sonic success is a central gravity mass point, made from artificial stone and placed directly underneath the platter bearing. Two small extensions made from light MDF are mounted on the heavy central mass point, to hold the motor and the arm, so all the vibration is directed to the mass point and effectively absorbed.
The new ultra-lightweight tonearm is perfectly optimized for the Ortofon OM5 cartridge. As the tonearm holds the OM5 in an ideal state, it employs a fixed, pre-adjusted counterweight and anti-skating force. This ensures the best possible sound, and simplifies the entire mechanism, so setting it up at home will be a breeze.

Thanks for your interest in Pro-Ject. Like most high quality turntables, the Elemental has a standard phono output. These are low in volume and need to be boosted and filtered. You will need a Phono Preamp which then connects to your amp.
Pro-Ject makes these phono preamps (as well as Bluetooth transmitters if you would prefer a wireless connection).
We also make turntables with the Phono Preamp built in (look for units that say Phono USB in the model name).
