This Ruby Lambda Top marries brass, aluminum, and a unique spherical contact point, taking the humble top to a new level of precision, performance, and beauty. The brass used in the ring is predominantly a copper alloy, and heavier than almost any standard metal. Brass also cuts easily, which means it machines consistently.

Of course, the ruby contact point is the ultimate in performance and awesome. Instrument Ruby is a crystalline form of Aluminum Oxide called Corundum. Corundum is a naturally occurring mineral, but instrument rubies are synthetic. This material has the distinction of being the very first gem mineral artificially created in a laboratory. A small amount of impurity from Chromium gives the ruby the distinct red color. The importance of exotic contact points is that ruby and ceramics are much, much harder than steel, and will spin more efficiently, for a gorgeous and unique top that will offer endless enjoyment for you and your friends.
