Can I use this vac to clean carpets and floors if I put a foam cleaner or floor cleaning product on the floor or rug first?

The Quantum X is a vacuum and not a carpet or floor shampoo machine. The water stays in the container. Quantum X just uses water as a filter! All you have to do is fill the water container up with water, insert it back into the Quantum X and when you vacuum, all the dirt from your carpet and floors is sucked up by the machine and trapped in the water. Then simply pour the water out and you have a brand new filter every time you vacuum.
