This ancient Egyptian tomb statue features a linen shrouded mummiform terracotta and polychrome ushabti. Its face is rendered in nice detail with eyes, nose and mouth in relief, wearing a tripartite wig and broad collar necklace. It is engraved with winged scarab over chest symbolizing self-creation or rebirth and hieroglyphic inscriptions (usually a passage from the Book of the Dead).
Ushabti figures were placed in ancient Egyptian tombs in order to serve the deceased in the afterlife.
