Life’s a Gas is a reflection of how we have been treating the Earth. The wanton disregard for the well-being of our planet has left wide areas polluted and poisoned. Around the toxic drum the continents of the world have been sketched out in burns, blisters and stains.
The figure represents humanity, his bones melting, breathing in his toxic world, somehow he seems even more appropriate in our current almost pre-apocalyptic environment. The gas mask, skeleton and shoes have been lost wax cast in bronze, the lenses are hallmarked sterling silver.
