Regalis Foods was founded in 2012 by Ian Purkayastha. Ian began working in the industry at 15 foraging for wild mushrooms in his small hometown in Arkansas. Ian cold-called local restaurants with fresh truffles and eventually built a small portfolio of national chef customers. Ian moved to New York at 18 to introduce his truffles and wild foraged goods to acclaimed Michelin starred restaurants. He quickly developed a loyal following and a reputation as a preeminent expert in his field.
