About the Designer

Filo Collezione was born from the encounter of two proposals and visions: the Italian tailoring with Brazilian design, from brothers Davide and Gabriele Adriano, from Adriano Design , with Rubens Simões Riva’s creative director. “When we visited Riva for the first time” – tell the brothers, “we breathe a familiar air. A typical air of the best tailors in Italy, where tailored clothes are developed”. The ability with which the stainless steel is worked in Rivas atelier made them think that the metal sheets are simple pieces of fabric, ready to be cut and sewn. “For this reason, when Rubens Simões asked us our interpretation of Riva for a new collection, we worked the steel as it was a tissue, a piece of cloth, and we thought about Riva, as if it was a fashion atelier. With this concept we started working on a new line with objects that can oppose the idea of hard material of the steel with the tailoring language – soft and gentle like it was custom-made”.
