Is the movement pre-assembled or does the buyer get to assemble that as well?

The movements come pre-assembled since much of the assembly process requires machine precision to remain accurate and functional. Not to worry, the process is still a great challenge, as many of our customers would attest.

How many jewels are in the movement?

Our movements have 17 jewels!

What is the estimated number of hours required to complete watch assembly?

These kits take approximately 3 hours to assemble, though it depends on the person and what obstacles come up.

Does this watch come with a battery?

These watches are fully mechanical and do not use batteries.

Is the movement a genuine ETA movement or a clone? If a clone, who is the actual manufacturer?

These kits use a ETA 6497-1 clone made by Seagull.
