Sagamore Spirit is a five-acre waterfront distillery located in the Port Covington neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland. Their American rye whiskies have earned more than 100 awards internationally, including World's Best Rye Whiskey in 2019 at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Each one is proofed with pure, limestone-filtered water from their Spring House built in 1909.

Cask Strength Rye Whiskey
Sagamore distillers select and blend straight high-rye and low-rye mash bills aged 4 to 7 years. The 7-year-old contributes deeper chocolate, hazelnut, and molasses characteristics, while the 4-year-old adds bright citrus notes and balanced spice. Cask Strength is complex and perfectly layered, showcasing the transformational art of blending.

Tasting Notes
Smooth dark chocolate paired with intense notes of black pepper and brown sugar. A light hit of honey for balance.

Double Oak Rye Whiskey
After aging Sagamore straight rye whiskey for 4 to 5 years in high-char new American oak barrels, Sagamore's distillers transfer the aged whiskey into toasted wave stave barrels for an additional 18 months. The increased surface area of the low-char, medium-plus-toast staves imparts delightful caramel, toffee, hazelnut, and toasted coconut. Sagamore classic Maryland-style rye whiskey is reimagined through this innovative aging process. The final spirit is a shining example of old meeting new.

Tasting Notes
Smooth caramel and rich toasted coconut. Nutty flavors of hazelnut and pecan meld perfectly with vanilla and caramel.
