Perhaps the most well known reference is his The Architectonic Angelus, 1933, in which the praying bodies of The Angelus' figures are represented by abstract eroded stones under which Dali's childhood self passes on the beach.

About the Designer
Spanish artist Salvador Dalí (1904 – 1989) was a groundbreaking icon of the Surrealist movement and one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. Extraordinarily imaginative, he also sculpted, and contributed to fashion, photography and theater. His surreal paintings are characterized by a refined sense of light and space often attributed to his study of Renaissance master works. In contemporary art, Dalí is now a master of his own movement.
